Wuling Eksion EV Set for Nepal Debut at NAIMA Mobility Expo 2026

Paramount Motors, the official distributor of Wuling vehicles in Nepal, is preparing to introduce the Wuling Eksion EV to the Nepali market. The electric SUV is scheduled to make its public debut at the upcoming NAIMA Mobility Expo 2026.

Manufactured by SAIC-GM-Wuling, the Chinese automotive joint venture backed by SAIC Motor, General Motors, and Wuling Motors, the Eksion EV enters a segment where choices remain relatively limited for buyers seeking a larger family-oriented electric vehicle.

One of the vehicle's key highlights is its flexible seating arrangement. The Eksion can be configured as either a five-seater or a seven-seater, thanks to a third-row seating setup that folds flat when not in use. With the rear seats folded, the SUV offers 540 litres of luggage capacity. Folding both the second and third rows expands cargo space to a claimed 2,916 litres.

Powering the SUV is a 69.2 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery pack. Wuling claims a driving range of up to 530 km under the CLTC testing cycle. The company also states that the battery can be charged from 30 percent to 80 percent in approximately 20 minutes using DC fast charging.

The Eksion features a body structure that reportedly uses 74.9 percent high-strength steel, including 1,500 MPa steel in key structural areas. Suspension duties at the rear are handled by a multi-link independent setup rather than the torsion beam arrangement commonly found in some vehicles within the segment.

Performance comes from a front-mounted electric motor producing 150 kW of power and 310 Nm of torque. The SUV is expected to target buyers looking for a larger EV capable of handling highway travel and hilly terrain.

In terms of technology, the Eksion comes equipped with an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) package that includes features such as Automatic Emergency Braking and Adaptive Cruise Control. Other features include a 360-degree camera system and a transparent chassis view, which provides a virtual image of the area beneath the vehicle.

Alongside the Eksion EV, Paramount Motors plans to showcase several other Wuling models at the NAIMA Mobility Expo 2026, including the four-door Wuling Mini EV, the Wuling Darion MPV, and the updated Wuling Binguo EV.

Further details, including pricing and availability for the Nepali market, are expected to be announced closer to the vehicle's launch.
